what im wearing

the weather is changing in columbus, and i don't think i'm ready.  the temperatures are dropping and this morning it was freezing.  im curling up on the couch. hibernating until its summer again so that i can gypsy around.

Splurge.

so over the weekend i made a bit of a splurge with this fur vest by June.  i paired it with a pair of white jeans (Rachel Zoe says white is totally fine for winter, and so obviously that means i'm going to wear my white all year long).  i dressed it down with my toms, partially because i was lazy, but also because i wore a pair of terribly uncomfortable shoes all day saturday that wrecked my feet.

What im wearing

Columbus weather is always tricky, when i leave for class in the morning its supper sunny and warm, but walking home its like sleeting and cloudy. typical midwest weather. it used to really piss me off, but i think that i have become accustomed to it.  and today was a perfect example of mother nature just doing her own thing. I walked out of the house in a pair of shorts with my hunter wellies. i packed a wool cardigan just in case. happy friday!

Thrifting Gems

So, Thursdays I am going to post about little hidden gems that i find in thrift stores.  thrifting is something you have to be in the mood for.  you cant go into it thinking, "i need to find the perfect blazer or a great  leather bag" although you can find those things.  you have to be ready to search through a TON of junk and clutter.  i have found some great finds this week, some of them need a bit of altering, but they were well worth there $3 price tag.  i have become pretty obsessed lately, i think i have a shopping problem, actually i know i have a problem, im fine with it.

Here are some of my favorites this week.

this Justine Todd top is one of my favorite finds. this $3 purchase will be welcommed into my closet with open arms. 

love the 100% silk label. 

This is a vintage leather Coach bag i found for a steal $15 dollars at Ohio Thrift.  Coach has come out with a line of vintage bags this past year, but this one is the real deal. So happy when i find these hidden gems.

So I totally stole this idea from Cupcakesandcashmere.com if you havent been to her blog, you should definitely stop by and check it out. It has me hooked, and I waist so much time procrastinating by flipping through old posts. 

On another note, I went thrifting yesterday and found some gems, ill upload pics tomorrow.
